Chord Finder

This Chord Finder program allows you to see any selection of Chord,Scale or Mode for any key. Simply select the key from the dropdown box above, choose your type Chord, Scale or Mode and then set the parameter i.e Ionian when Mode is selected. Finally click on the "Rock Me" button! Your selection will be displayed instantly.

By combining selections you can visualise how chords fit with scales or how scales relate to modes. For example select a C Major Chord and C Major Scale. Here the two selection are highlighted and you can see how the C, E & G notes which form the C Major chord are part of the C Major Scale and well as the additional D,F,A & B notes required to complete the scale.

Use the checkbox at the left of the Key dropdown to activate/deactivate that selection. You can also choose the colors you want from the righthand side dropdown.
